The framing bug strikes us all and occasionally things let up enough here at the shop to allow us to do some work for ourselves. We all know the story about the cobbler’s children or the mechanic’s car. We got a bit of breathing room with our scheduled jobs, but the framing bug still struck. So, we gave ourselves a chance to do some of the work that we had in our personal archives. It is so exciting to see these pieces come together. Now we get to experience the same rush that you, so many of our clients have felt! One thing is for certain, it is harder working on something for yourself. It is a challenge to remain objective. Fortunately, we have a team of designers to weigh in on this process. That would probably be the reason we all have this job! Any one of us can make these decisions but it is a different task when one is personally connected to a piece of art. The skills of our team and the collaboration of talents truly allow for a value-added experience. Many of you already know how much fun this can be. It’s fun for us to design and build the work. In doing these pieces for ourselves, we are enjoying the thrill that you feel when you see your work completed. Displayed here are some of the things we did for ourselves.
